Tweed Heads South, Australia (prHWY.com) February 25, 2012 - I wanted to share with you some simple methods to organize your paper arts, scrapbooking and stamping accessories. Let's start with your stamps with Dymo: You can either store them horizontally in a drawer, or you can store them vertically in a wall-mounted organizer.

One of my clients arranged her stamps in plastic cutlery trays. To keep her trays from sliding around when she opens or closes the drawer, she uses rubberized lining (sold on the roll by Rubbermaid). Another superb method is to store your stamps in an organized wall-mounted system. By going vertical, you maximize your space.

Try not to stack your stamps because you really want to see the designs at a glance. If this isn't practical because you have a large assortment, try grouping them by category in your container.

Keep in mind that there is a fine line between being organized and being messy. You can be both but, if you never tidy up your crafting room, it will lead to disorganization. Most of us have more than one crafting hobby and a good organizing method is to compartmentalize. It's like when we were in kindergarten when everything had a place . . . a storage nook. It's no different now that we're grown!

When it comes to paper arts and scrapbooking, the number one rule is to ensure your paper does not curl from being improperly stored. You can store your paper flat or encased securely in a plastic sleeve. You've invested a lot of money in your paper supplies, so invest in a good quality organizer.

There is one product I saw demonstrated last year at the Scrapbookers Convention. It's called The ScrapRack and what impresses me is its portability and ease of use. As designer Tiffany Spaulding states, "It is possible to clean up your mess, do away with all your binders, boxes, and bags, and organize everything for easy use and travel." Check it out!
Last, but not least, is the Dymo label machine. If you're still using your Dymo labeler from the 1970s, it's time to upgrade! You can have professional looking Dymo labels for a small investment. There are three brands you can choose from: Brother, Casio and, yes, Dymo Australia your containers, shelves, etc.; no more hand-written only Dymo labelwriter, please!
