Bangalore, 8th February, 2012: The South India Jewellery Show (SIJS) 2012 opened with a huge bang on 3rd February! The premier B2B event for those in the business of jewellery, gems and allied products began on the 3rd February at the Palace Grounds, Bangalore. Inaugurated by Shri Deve Gowda, Hon'ble MP and Smt. Motamma, Opposition Leader, Karnataka Legislative Council the show is the perfect platform for large manufacturers to access the width and depth of retailers in the southern part of the country. Spread over three days i.e 3rd to 5th February, and over 100 individual stalls, it is a very well crafted forum to showcase jeweler's offerings and pursue long term business opportunities.

South India remains India's largest market for jewellery and gems, both in terms of value as well as volume. At SIJS, retailers have a direct access to manufacturers, minus the usual intermediaries and middlemen. It acts like a single platform for manufacturers, wholesalers and all sizes of retailers to interact. This also is a splendid opportunity to build new business contacts, establish tie-ups and exchange successful ideas for mutual benefits with a perfect gateway to showcase the latest product offering.

"Year on year, SIJS has grown from strength to strength, both in number of participants, as well as number of visitors. From 3,000 visitors in its first edition, to more than double that number in 2011, it is an event that is earmarked by its jewellery manufacturers and retailers in South India" says Mr Sumesh Wadhera, Convener, SIJS and MD, Art Of Jewellery.

SIJS 2012 supportive partners are The Jewellers Association - Bangalore City, Jewellery Manufacturers Association (Kerala), Karnataka State Jewellery Traders and Workers Association Federation and Tamil Nadu Jewellers Federation. The event has the Gemmology Institute of America (GIA) as its Knowledge Partner, RAPNET as its online partner and BVC Group as its official Logistics partner.

An important component and a value addition at the SIJS 2012 will be the educational and Informative expert seminars and panel discussion on various topics that have tangible benefits for the trade. Experts will share their knowledge, insights and take the audience through the new trends and changes happening in the industry.

The promotional campaign for SIJS 2012 is as detailed as the event itself. With its main focus on attracting retailers, wholesalers, dealers, trade bodies and associations, designers, craftspeople and all other industry figures; the campaign will be highly visible across the print and electronic media. Some of the campaign highlights are city-by-city pre-registration, extensive road shows, exciting AV presentations, frequent mailers, posters, advertising, newsletters, dedicated websites and convenient online registrations.
