Google Privacy Policy Sucks
You must have already noticed a few changes to the already annoying Google's privacy policy. Why already annoying? Well, they already store all your searches connecting with your IP address for no less than 2 years, way more than all the other SE.

You must have already noticed a few changes to the already annoying Google's privacy policy. Why already annoying? Well, they already store all your searches connecting with your IP address for no less than 2 years, way more than all the other major search engines. So, you were looking for Nazi support groups in your area for fun? Mmm.. Yeah, there's a very good chance you could be in trouble. How? Google will be forced to hand over all the information they have on you to the government once they issue a subpoena. Find it intriguing? Read on to find why Google's new privacy policy that they are begging to notice sucks even more..
According to the Google's new privacy policy, the information they collect about you while you're using any of Google's products will be connected. What does that mean to you? Well, let's assume you use Google's search engine, Android, Google calendar, Gmail and YouTube - Google's most popular products so far. You have your search history, your phone number, your contacts, your personal and business appointments, your favourite videos, channels, etc. all stored in Google's database - as of March 1, 2012, Google can connect them all - meaning they will know everything about you. Your day-to-day habits, all day appointments, your favourite hangouts, your close buddies' contact information are now connected to your email address and phone number. And what do they say about connecting all these? Targeted advertising and enriching your user experience. In the user's point of view, Google now wants to push the advertiser's product down your throat more than ever.
Remember Google's AdSense?
Well, it used to be an advertising platform which website owners can sign up for monetizing their content. Google will place ads that are relevant to the content of the webpage. The idea was that contextual advertisements will be of interest to the user and the advertisers get to pay only for the relevant traffic generated via Google AdSense since the advertisements placed are already contextual. For instance, for a webpage containing the book review of "Private Games", AdSense will place Amazon's advertisement for the book. People who read the review will most probably be looking to buy the book and the advertisement is highly relevant and the people who click on the advertisement have a big chance of buying the book on Amazon right away - this way, the user gets convenience, the advertiser gets relevant traffic and the website publisher has a higher chance of making money out of his content, since Google only pays the publishers based on the number of clicks generated from his website and thus everybody wins. However, all these were years ago.
Cut to the current scenario, Google wants to make more money from AdSense, so they just promote advertisements of the highest paying advertisers on webpages how much irrelevant to the content they may be. Check this out - http://bit.ly/gascreen . I was checking out movie reviews in a website yesterday and Google placed an advertisement for a website development company. How could that be relevant to Coriolanus movie review? This is what happened. Someone has previously checked out the advertiser's website a few days back on my browser and now Google has placed the ad based on my browser's cache - therefore it is no way relevant to me. People who trust Google's AdSense - the content publishers make way less money than they probably should, the advertisers shell out money for irrelevant traffic and the visitors of the website find it irritating to see irrelevant ads in the webpage. Obviously, things got already got nasty when Google started interfering with our Privacy in AdSense's case - why would they want to track my browser history in the first place?
Well, all we know for sure is that all the Google goodies we love so far will start to suck starting March 1, 2012 when Google starts implementing the senseless new privacy policy. You started doing evil, Google.
