Top national pool builder opens first American pool company in India

Sacramento, CA - December 30, 2011 - Premier Pools and Spas, the nation's third largest swimming pool builder, has opened its first international location in New Delhi, India. After substantial national growth, the fastest growing US pool company chose to expand operations into India to target the emerging middle class market.

"We've always had plans to be a global company but we had no idea it would happen this soon," said Paul Porter, CEO of Premier Pools. "We were doing an industry trade show earlier this year and were approached by builders from Australia, the Philippines, Mexico, Canada, as well as India. They had read about our success and wanted to know how to be a part of it. I knew then that it was time to make that move."

After extensive research and careful consideration, Porter chose the sixth largest pool company in India to partner with and run operations. "Their infrastructure is pretty extensive and encompasses all of India", said Porter. "Our marketing strategy is a bit different from the states but our business model is exactly the same there as it is here. That needs to stay consistent to continue our success." Although cultures may vary, Porter points out that there is a common thread in any market that they go into. "People want to enrich the lives of their children and family. That's universal."


Premier Pools has had 57% growth in 2011, a feat that is unmatched in the pool industry since the beginning of the national economic downturn. On target to double their growth in 2012, Premier continues their strategic growth by adding qualified licensees and expanding the retail division of their licensee program.
