london, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) December 20, 2011 - English Parliament originated way back in 1066 when a feudal system was started under William of Normandy. William used to seek important advices from ecclesiastics and tenants-in-chief council before he formulated a new law. Magna Carta was secured from the king in 1215 according to which, levy and taxes collected were stamped out. This system later on evolved to emerge as the English Parliamentary body in the later years. The changing phases of the English nation have catalyzed the changes and alterations in the parliament since. The power of the monarchs has been progressively limited, and their autocratic rule has been put to an end through the emergence of the Parliament.

The Parliament became the sole source of authority and supreme power over the nation. By and by, it gained full power over the political bodies of the English nation, with Sovereign Queen Elizabeth II at its head. The English Parliament is bi-caramel which means that it has two houses. The upper house is named as the House of Lords while the lower one is the House of Commons. The Queen is of course the third component in the legislature.

The upper house members are divided into two types, viz.: the Lords Spiritual and Temporal. The members of the House of Lord are selected by the national population and appointed on the consent of the Prime Minister. Before the commencement of the Supreme Court, a judiciary role is played by the house members by means of the Law Lords. Conversely, the House of Commons in the English Parliament is elected democratically within an interval of five years. According to the law of English nation, all the major personages including the Prime Minister are a member of the Parliament. They, as members are absolutely responsible to their respective department for all the activities.

According to the theories, the ultimate legislative power lies with the Queen-in-Parliament as was in older times. However, in modern times, the House of Commons form the true authority that can exercise it in all the necessary areas. On the contrary, the house of Lords of the English Parliament has limited power, despite being the upper house. As stated in theories, the lower level didn't attain this sort of power until the 19th Century when the power was suddenly decided to be transferred from the superior level. The English nation has been run by this parliament since time immemorial.

With a wide array of changes constantly taking place replacing each other, the people of the nation are slowly, but steadily getting attuned to the new and evolved practices of the government. The Englishmen are currently pleased with the governance of the parliamentary body, even though the political parties are on constant play to take over the ruling positions of dominance.
