Hartlepool, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) December 5, 2011 - "Any job seeker knows about the importance of a CV. Every candidate looks to prepare an excellent CV and win this job competition. Many professionals talk about CV writing tip, but some people do not give their attention on filling up the gaps of CVs, specially unemployment gaps. In my point of view, a CV is not worth if it has any gaps in there even it has written by a professional." said Mr. Paul, a senior CV consultant of CVConsultants.co.uk.

"Your CV tells your life story. If it does not try to fill any unemployment periods, the possibility of rejecting the CV is high. If it has selected, I am quite sure that the employer will ask about it during the interview. Potential employers want to know what you have been up to during unemployment period. Hence, there should be a way to fill up the gap." he added.

"If you have such unemployed period, try to describe it under creative heading such as "Full-time parent", "Retraining" etc...It will help you to show the productivity. Also, give a job description to this period and describe the skills you have acquired during this period. It can be a language skill, volunteer work, internship or any other training. Skills that you acquired from outside is useful to your job. Productivity during the unemployment period proves responsibilities. Hence, such skills can impress a potential employer." he explained further.

"You must be honest when creating a CV. Never try to hide gaps in the CV. Try to fill them up with useful and impressive details. They will give you a push to come to the top." he concluded.
