Ajm Drives And Controls Complete Large Printing Press Cooling Project

Ajm Drives and Conotrols have recently completed a large project, working in conjunction with a existing customer who specialise in printing press cooling.

Huddersfield, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) November 27, 2011 - Ajm Drives and Controls www.controlpanelmanufacturer.co.uk/ have recently completed a large project, working in conjunction with a existing customer who specialise in printing press cooling. We was asked to assist in designing a new cooling system for 5 printing presses.AJM designed and built a new control system to manage the printing presses cooling. This incorporated 2 x 45kw Allen Bradley powerflex 400 ac inverters and 2 x 55kw Allen Bradley powerflex 400 inverters.The whole system was controlled by a Allen Bradley compact logix plc and panelview HMI.The pumps are being controlled on a duty/standby facility and are controlled via an internal pid to regulate the required pressure in the system.The first phase allowed the customer to remove 100kw of existing pumps which where running at 100%, the first phase is now only running at approx 18.5kw and there are further savings when the second phase is completed.
