New R4 3DS Kernel For Nintendo 3DS V2.2 System Update
The newest 2.2 version of the Nintendo 3DS has prompted the R4 3DS Team to make a new updated kernel for their cards

The R4 3DS Cards at present support the newest Nintendo DSI v1.4.3 as well as the 3DS v2.1.3 updates. A new version of the kernel is being released in the next week which will once again add support and compatibility for the r4 cards for the newest v2.2 3DS OS version. Until the release of the update, the R4 Team suggests that you do not upgrade your 3DS to this new OS, in order to avoid having your card stop working while they work on a release.
It is important that we note that this does NOT brick your Nintendo 3DS system or your R4 3DS cards in any way. It is simply a matter of the card not being recognized once you apply the over the air 3DS update to your console. Each and every time an update like this comes out, that makes the r4 3ds unrecognizable, the team is quick to release a new kernel version which will once again enable the cards to be used on whatever version number the 3ds is currently running at.
Do you have to buy a new R4 card? Absolutely not. The cards will continue to work, it is matter of only an update that needs to be downloaded and installed on your card, and it will once again be recognized and working just as it should. Firmware updates for the official http://www.r43ds.org cards are very easy to apply. You can just download the newest firmware and copy over the menu system files. These will overwrite the old files, and your card will once again be working and running all of the homebrew games, applications, movies, music and more.
