Protect Your Ears On Bonfire Night With Expert Hearing Aids Advice
Ears are very sensitive to loud noise exposure, and sudden sounds from fireworks can damage hearing; so try to be careful next month.

Have fun with the family eating lots of food, putting logs on the fire and playing with sparklers on 5th November but remember a few simple tips to ensure the evening's festivities end safely.
Be wary of the damage caused by fireworks. The loud noises can be harmful to adults and children's' hearing, so ensure to wear hearing devices and ear plugs to be safe and sound.
Once hearing is damaged, it cannot be repaired, which means many people in the UK eventually rely on hearing aids. Firework displays are a great chance to come together and rejoice in each other's company; so don't ruin the occasion and protect your kids' hearing.
Try to sit further back from where the rockets and Catherine wheels are being set off. The closer you are, the more amplified the sound is. Families will still be able to get a good view and see all the fireworks but without putting their hearing at risk.
Vivienne Michael, Chief Executive of Deafness Research UK, said: "The very loudest fireworks, particularly if they are set off in enclosed spaces such as back gardens could result in long-term hearing damage through noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL). Children are particularly at risk, as their hearing can be more sensitive - but with a bit of common sense, everyone should be able to savour the evening."
Cover children's ears with hands or protective gear such as earmuffs or hats. Earplugs are perfect for older kids and it means they can all hear what is going on whilst being sheltered, as plugs lower the decibel of the bangers.
It is better to be safe than sorry as the saying goes, and if you hear ringing in your ears after the fireworks have gone off then be alert that you may have experienced acoustic trauma to the ears.
Remember; remember to protect your hearing this November.
