A tech blog is reporting that a source has revealed that the iPad 3 is being rushed into production to be ready for release in March 2012.

London, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) November 2, 2011 - A tech blog is reporting that a source has revealed that the iPad 3 is being rushed into production to be ready for release in March 2012.

CNet says that a Japanese blog reports that the new tablet will include a retina display of 1536 x 2048 pixels, but in a blow to those who already own iPad it is expected that the third generation of the device will have a smaller dock connector. This will make all existing accessories and peripherals useless with the new version.

It is thought that production has been sped up to ensure that the break for Chinese New Year between 22 - 28 January doesn't cause problems in distribution, and there is evidence in supply chains that a big order has been placed, so a March launch is looking very likely.
