Tenafly, NJ (prHWY.com) September 14, 2011 - The BMW group has a goal of selling 1.6 million vehicles in 2011. This premium car manufacturer will likely meet its goal, if the current sales trend continues. Hackensack BMW buyers have helped BMW achieve record sales in July.

The BMW Group is comprised of BMW, MINI, and Rolls-Royce brands. A total of 129,094 vehicles were sold by the BMW Group in July of 2011. This is an increase of 7.6 percent compared to July of 2010 when total sales were 119,992 units. Sales in the United States accounted for 26,120 of the total vehicles sold. This is an increase of 11.7 percent in US sales compared to July of 2010.

Worldwide, sales have risen 17.9 percent year-to-date. In the first seven months of 2011, a total of 962,468 vehicles were sold. In 2010, only 816,014 vehicles were sold from January through July. The vehicle showing the strongest growth in sales is the BMW X3. Sales for July 2011 are 193.2 percent higher than for July 2010. A total of 9,762 BMW X3s were sold in July of 2011.

Ian Robertson, Group Sales and Marketing Director for the BMW Group, credits a "very attractive product line-up" for the success the BMW Group is having with customers around the world. He stated, "We have just reported the most successful July sales ever and we are well on our way to achieving our recently announced target of over 1.6 million vehicles in 2011, the best ever sales result for the BMW Group."
