The use of ultrasonics has been proven as a method of removing contamination form areas where other cleaning methods fail typical examples of this are blind holes, areas between two close fitting surfaces and other closed areas. Our bespoke ultrasonic decontamination system was designed specifically for the application using a wash and rinse approach that balanced the use of ultrasonics with other treatment methods to ensure cleanliness. The system itself required a design process had to take in a number of client specific requirements including the time required for processing, the varying components to be presented to the system and the final cleanliness level required for the client.
