Delhi, India (prHWY.com) June 27, 2011 - The Wildlife Departments in India has always been taking useful steps for the conservation of the wildlife species. From providing good habitat with suitable atmosphere to the complete survival facilities they take really good care of the animals.

Recently, the rescue team of Gir National Park found three-foot-long male pangolin in a well in Surajgadh village of Junagadh district. Earlier it was reported that a crocodile was fallen in the well on 16 June, however later it was found that the animal was a pangolin.

Dr Sandeep Kumar, deputy conservator of forest, Gir Sanctuary and National Park said that the Gir rescue team is the best rescue team in the country and has a longstanding history of saving wildlife species. He also informed that one of the team members even tried to save the animal manually by getting into the well but later it was decided to take help of net and rope that proved to be successful and within no time the rescued pangolin was brought to the Animal Care Center in Sasan.

After the full treatment of pangolin it was sent back to its wildlife sanctuary. Pangolins are known as scaly ant-eater and are one of the primitive mammals which are unchanged since the course evolution.
