A year after the end of the recession, and times are still tough for many people, which is why we continue to hold our prices at 2008 levels for the foreseeable future. The most recent RICS UK Housing Market Survey shows a "broad based improvement in market conditions over the month, but the picture overall remains very subdued". We have noticed signs of a modest improvement in the market in Huddersfield, Halifax and surrounds. While prices seem to be fairly static, there seems to be a definite increase in sales volumes. This could be the result of more mortgage products entering the market, which has in our view, always been the key to recovery.
