How the Custom-Writing.org project is working on internal enhancements
Custom-Writing.org is holding training seminars regularly in-house to ensure that all our personnel are working according to the same procedures. With a gratifyingly lengthening list of clients, many of them returning, we want to offer every single one the same high quality, personalized service. The only way to make that happen is to give everyone on staff, whether veteran or newbie, an introduction/refresher course on all our policies, standards for work, and resources.
This training happens regularly, and includes all levels of the company. This way, our personnel can be confident that the information that they give to customers will be backed up by Custom-Writing.org supervisory and support staff.
We have always run seminar series here at Custom-Writing.org, but with a larger group and more variety in the services we offer, we can keep the conference room busy nearly all the time. Seminars on customer service, seminars on dealing with clients with learning differences or disabilities, and language classes are just the start. We coach our staff to be good writing coaches of their customers, as well.
Custom-Writing.org is making sure that no matter what the customer's needs are, we will find a way to meet them. Troubleshooting IT issues, and helping clients deal with printers, faxes, file formats, and overcoming payment obstacles, are all issues we have been covering in ongoing sessions. We have found that when we get to the end of presenting everything we feel that our staff needs to know, we need to start over again, to inform the newest employees and account for new developments.
Our more specialized presentations continue apace. The specialists continue to come up with topics about which they feel other writers should have greater knowledge. Whether it is a country, a region, a historical period, or a new development in science or technology, our writers delight in sharing their newfound expertise. Some of these presentations are made to the rest of their team, others reach all the Custom-Writing.org writing staff.
In addition, each segment of the company meets weekly to go over accomplishments and problems encountered over the previous several days. This is really the beating heart of each department, and of the company as a whole. These meetings are where we wrestle with the nitty-gritty details of why something did not go as it ideally should have in such and such a case. This is where our terrific staff comes up with imaginative solutions to thorny problems. These meetings are where we really get to know one another well.
We have meetings of the whole company staff as well, only slightly less often. The thrust of such meetings may be a bit different, but they are just as important.
This is a time to recognize achievement and personal milestones. After this many years in business, we have weddings, births, and retirements to mark.
This is also when we announce new initiatives to the whole crew. We use this time to keep them apprised of Custom-Writing.org's performance as well.
These larger meetings offer the chance to reward personnel who have represented our goal of professionalism. The writer who stayed late to ensure that the customer was satisfied, or the IT person who saved a client's paper by facilitating a file compatibility fix, or the support staffer who resolved a communications issue between a client and a writer, are all applauded at these meetings. This sends a message very clearly, of what we expect of our employees.
In all our current efforts, our goal is to help each employee represent Custom-Writing.org and all that we stand for.
