Mumbai, India (prHWY.com) May 26, 2011 - Bollywood actress, Deepika Padukone who is a part of Rajinikanth's ambitious project, Rana has been slogging very hard to give her best to the film. The film spans three different time periods and has southern superstar, Rajinikanth in a multi-generational triple role. Deepika is paired opposite him in his youth. Deepika has been working very hard to perfect her role, for which she is learning Sanskrit. The actress is also learning Vajra Mukti, a traditional Indian martial art form for the film. Apart from this, Deepika will also be practicing Bharat Natyam as her role in the film will requires so!!

The young Bollywood actress behaved like a true professional when her co-star, Rajini was recuperating in hospital and continued with her shoot. Impressed with her commitment and professionalism, Rana's director, KS Ravikumar says, "She is a very professional, talented and nice actor, who has been a dream to work with. We are very happy to have wrapped up our first schedule with her." Deepika will be seen donning a 17th century look with a South Indian touch in the historical action film.

Rana will be simultaneously released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu. The music of the film will be by A R Rahman, while Director of Photography would be Ratnavelu. The film will be jointly produced by Rajinikanth and Eros International. Ganja Karuppu will be seen as the comedian in the film while Bollwyood actor, Sony Sood will play the antagonist in the film. There has been a lot of hearsay of other Bollywood actors like Rekha, Vidya Balan, Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini being signed for the film. But director Ravi Kumar dismissed all rumours saying that other than Padukone no one else has been signed yet for the film.
