Shaka Smith and Talon Reid Host Project Save Our Surf Fundraiser and Beach Cleanup
Project Save Our Surf weekend fundraiser and beach clean up hosted by actors Shaka Smith and Talon Reid.
Smith and Reid have sat on the honorary board for Project Save Our Surf since 2012. The weekend will see them joined by other celebrities providing supporters with education on ocean conservation, giveaways, live entertainment and fun for the entire family. Past celebrities in attendance to Project Save Our Surf fundraisers include Corey Feldman, Daryl Hannah, Kyle Massey, Bai Ling, Drake Bell, Rachel McCord and many more.
Actress, writer, and producer Tanna Frederick founded Project Save our Surf in 2008. She is an active surfer and environmentalist who works vigorously to bring both the entertainment and surf industries together in support of clean oceans.
This marks Project Save Our Surf's 7th clean up event and first fundraiser of the year. "It's a special time for me celebrating my birthday to raise funds and participation for the organization I love so much," says Frederick. "We've had some tough times recently but now were growing again and have expanded our clean ups to include Huntington Beach and looking forward to returning to Vietnam where we have provided water filters so the residents can have access to clean water."
