Businesses Encounter New String of 'Social Engineering' Phone Calls
Businesses throughout New York and New Jersey should be on alert for these malicious phishing calls.

OutsourceMyIT, an IT service provider based out of New Jersey, recently issued the following warning to its clients and colleagues:
We were recently informed that a client was targeted by scammers who tried to gain access to their business network through social engineering
The attempt was made over the phone by a caller who claimed to work for an IT company. They requested access to our client's computer via remote, but thankfully, she recognized the red flags and ended the call.
These attacks are becoming more and more commonplace, which is why it's more important than ever that you and your staff are informed and alert.
OutsourceMyIT has posted full details on these recent attacks on their blog, along with a list of "red flags" that can indicate if someone is being targeted.
