Houston, TX (prHWY.com) December 12, 2013 - On Saturday, December 14th, Pastor Keion Henderson of The LightHouse Church will speak at the first annual "No More Silence" event to honor those killed in Newtown, Connecticut.

Pastor Keion Henderson is helping to honor the past and help progress a violence-free future by speaking at the first annual "No More Silence" event. The event, which is hosted by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, will take place on December 14, 2013 at 12pm - 12:30pm. The location is the Discovery Green at 1500 McKinney St. in Houston, Texas. More about the event, and preregistration (which is free), can be foundby clicking here: http://nb.momsdemandaction.org/tx_201312_2

"It has been a year since the horrible tragedy in Newton, Connecticut. While I am honored to speak at the event, it is disappointing to have it in the first place. As a progressive society, we can do better by our children. This isn't a political event. It is one of remembrance and respect for those who lost their lives last year on this very day. I'm hopeful the Houston community will come out and support these mothers and their campaign," said Pastor Henderson.

Attendees are encouraged to bring bells to ring as part of the no silence, no violence campaign preached by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. "Br ringing the bells, we remember those lost. We remember the hurt, the pain, and it is a call for our society to remain silent no more when it comes to matters of gun control and mental health in today's society. You don't have to be for or against to attend. In fact, we ask that politics (and their signs) be left at home," finished Pastor Henderson.

The Houston, Texas No More Silence event is one of just a dozen similar events, put on by the same organization, across the USA.
