Phoenix, AZ (prHWY.com) August 26, 2013 - Since the economic collapse in 2008, more non-profit and government-run animal shelters are faced with an increased demand on their operations despite stagnant, or in some cases, decreased, funding. Animal Shelter Services (www.animalshelterservices.com) an Arizona-based company, today announced it is offering $10,000 scholarships towards a comprehensive shelter evaluation to four select animal shelters across the nation to help these chosen shelters achieve their full potential without depleting their resources.

Animal Shelter Services, a leading, full-service consulting company dedicated to helping animal shelters operate more efficiently and effectively, is offering animal shelter evaluation scholarships worth $10,000 to four shelters nationwide. "Many organizations need a third-party, objective assessment of their operations and management to help them capitalize on their strengths and opportunities while also addressing their weaknesses," remarks Animal Shelter Services co-founding Principal Marlene Walsh. "This scholarship provides an opportunity for animal shelters to improve their operations which ultimately improves an organization's adoptions, funding, and perception in the community."

Each shelter evaluation will be performed by a team of two animal shelter experts, Marlene Walsh and Tim Crum, who will visit selected shelters' for four days to conduct an on-site review of all aspects of shelter operations. Four organizations will be selected from a pool of applicants to receive a $10,000 scholarship - one from each time zone (Eastern, Central, Mountain and Pacific) - toward a $15,000 shelter evaluation from Animal Shelter Services.
