Executive search professionals predict a buoyant employment year for the UAE in 2013, driven by factors such as the announcement of various projects across key sectors in the coming months, a resilient national economy, and steady regional recovery from the financial crisis. Opportunities are particularly opening up for senior management candidates, as more than half of the country's enterprises are eyeing leaders and professionals who can successfully leverage the prevailing positive regional business and investment outlook.

DHR International, a provider of executive search and talent management solutions with over 20 years of experience and 52 wholly-owned offices around the world, says that interest in the UAE among executive candidates is very high, as many business analysts foresee 2013 as a year of additional employment benefits, new job openings and job stability across the Emirates. With areas such as Europe currently facing financial challenges, DHR has noticed increasing demand among top foreign talents to join the UAE's welcoming and highly productive business environment.

"The challenging economic conditions, coupled with an unsteady job market in Europe and many other parts of the world, had a positive impact on enterprises in the UAE. Companies here are becoming more confident in investing in exceptional local and international executive talents to steer their organization to post-recession expansion and profitability," said Ayman Haddad, Managing Director, Middle East and North Africa Region, DHR International.

"Moreover, the UAE's favourable market conditions at present are also immensely benefiting local talent, especially those seeking senior management level positions, with several companies looking to hire experienced Emirati candidates," he added.

Mr Ayman also pointed out that the entire executive-search scenario of the UAE has seen a dramatic change since 2011, when the country began to witness a significant increase in the number of executives, especially from Europe, who were keen to explore the UAE market for senior level positions. This was a broad reaction to the high tax rates and the volatile economic conditions in their home countries.

At the same time, the supply of talented local executives has increased and employers have become pickier because of the need for specific skill-sets and proven management experience. Over these years, DHR International consultants have been able to optimally leverage their expertise and offer advisory services that have enabled clients to select the best candidates for upper management positions.

DHR's own local office in Dubai is ramping up its hiring to ensure that only high-quality consultants are matched with clients. The company is looking to expand across the GCC region, particularly in Qatar and KSA.

Founded in 1989, DHR International conducts search and talent consulting assignments. Its experienced consultants are retained by various Fortune 1000 companies, venture firms and startup companies. DHR is strategically tailoring its portfolio of senior-level executive search, management assessment and succession planning services to meet the unique needs of its clients in the UAE and other key Middle Eastern markets.
