Hempel launches new 'Hempacore' range of intumescent paint in Oman
Newly developed Hempel coatings serve as ideal solution for passive fire protection of steel structures

Hempel, one of the world's largest, independent suppliers of decorative, marine and protective coatings, has recently launched in Oman its new "Hempacore" brand of intumescent coatings, which is an efficient solution for passive fire protection of steel structures. The launch of Hempacore, which was held at Crown Plaza in Muscat and attended by representatives from governmental and private organizations, sustains Hempel's aggressive expansion plans in Oman as the company now caters to all coating needs of clients with a complete range of protective coatings, including both fire and corrosion protection.
A detailed presentation about the special features and superior technical qualities of Hempacore was also shared during the event by Lars Risum, Hempel Group's Business Development Manager for Intumescent Coatings. Risum explained that Hempacore, which has been approved by various international certifying agencies, is a state-of-art intumescent product when it comes to offering customers with efficiency, flexibility, and durability. The products are designed to offer protection to steel structures upto 120 minutes. Hempacore is a perfect solution for in-shop and on-site applications as it can be applied at dry film thickness (DFT) upto 1500 micron in a single coat thus providing flexibility by making it possible to optimize application on every project type.

HEMPACORE ONE and HEMPACORE ONE FD offer core benefits and set new standards for acrylic based intumescent. Both Hempacore ONE & Hempacore ONE FD are tailor-made to offer increased application productivity, fire performance and long term reliability. Hempacore Core range are approved to the European standard EN13381-8 and have also been launched in other countries including Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the UK, Greece, Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
