indore, India (prHWY.com) March 23, 2013 - Turmeric futures down on profit-booking.
Turmeric prices moved down by 2.18 per cent to Rs 6,722 per quintal in futures trade. However, speculation of lower output estimates and firm spot demand, limited the fall. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in April declined by Rs 150, or 2.18 per cent, to Rs 6,722 per quintal, with an open interest of 20,485 lots.
Chana likely to witness steady tone in coming days
Epic Research has come out with its report on agri commodities. According to the research firm, Chana prices are likely to witness steady tone in coming days. Chana open up and later dwindle through profit booking. At Delhi market, Rajasthan and MP line chana stayed steady at Rs 3,500 a quintal.
