IVCC signs MoU with ITPC in Vietnam

"Considering the business potential of our two nations, this initiative can go a long way," said Mr. Thanh Hai. "The investment from India in Vietnam in the IT, food and processing, tourism sectors during the last financial year is pretty modest and we want to take it further," added Mr. Thanh Hai.
"Our country's focus is on the infrastructure development and India can help us in a big way to achieve our target by the year 2020," said Mr. Hua Ngoc Thuan, Vice Chairman, The People's committee of HCMC. "In the area of education, healthcare and tourism sectors also our government expects India's major contributions," he added.
"We want to increase the trade basket of import and export between the two countries in all possible ways," said Mr G. D. Agarwal, President, Indo-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry in his welcome address.
Mr. Ajoykaant Ruia, Vice President, Indo-Vietnamese Chamber of Commerce and Industry proposed the vote of thanks.
The meeting was jointly organized by IMC and IVCCI.
Set up in 1907, in the wake of 'Swadeshi Movement' to represent of Indian businesses. IMC is a premier Chamber of trade, commerce and industry in India.
Headquartered in Mumbai, the Chamber has more than 3000 members, comprising a cross section of the business community. It plays advocacy role on wide range of matters affecting growth and development of businesses, on policy and implementation matters. It represents interests of variety of sectors like banking and financial services, environment, energy, water resources, geographic indications and protection of interests of artisans, tourism, information technology, education, construction, etc. IMC organizes interactive meetings with ministers, senior bureaucrats and others to express and drive home its views.
IMC hosts foreign delegations visiting Mumbai and provides platform for interaction to expand business ties and address issues affecting growth of business between visiting country's environment and India for doing business.
