IL&FS receives EPC contract worth Rs1436.08 cr

IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd received an EPC contract worth Rs1436.08 crore from Kiratpur Ner Chowk Expressway Ltd, a SPV incorporated by ITNL.

Mumbai, India (prHWY.com) March 13, 2013 - Mumbai: IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd received an EPC contract worth Rs1436.08 crore from Kiratpur Ner Chowk Expressway Ltd, a SPV incorporated by ITNL.

Scope of work under the said contract involves engineering, procurement and construction of the four laning road network of Kiratpur Ner Chowk Section of NH-21, extending in the state of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.

The project is expected to be completed in about 33 months (1005 days) from the date of commencement. The project involving a stretch of 84.75 km covers the districts of Rupnagar in Punjab and Bilaspur and Manali in Himachal Pradesh.

The other scope of work involves 67.3 km or road works, minor bridges, 18 bridges, five main tunnels including one escape tunnel, flyover, pedestrian/cattle underpass, toll plaza, truck lay byes, bus byes etc.
