Houston, TX (prHWY.com) March 12, 2013 - Kirayaka International reportedly announced at a recent meeting that GS Yuasa, the battery provider for the troubled Boeing 787 Dreamliner sees no negative impact on their earnings. A spokesperson for the Kyoto, Japan based battery manufacturer publicly confirmed that their forecast for their full year earnings, which ends at the end of the first quarter, remains unchanged at 10 billion yen, or almost US$108 million.

Kirayaka International are understood to have highlighted that Boeing's entire fleet of 787s have been grounded, while investigators in the United States and Japan try to discover the cause of the battery problem. The two carriers All Nippon Airways and Japan Airline that suffered the problems are based in Japan.

GS Yuasa also provides batteries to Honda Motor Co. and Mitsubishi Motors Corp amongst others and one analyst is believed to have commented that he can see no major cause for concern. The performance of industrial batteries, automobile batteries and their power supply products all remain in line with forecasts.

GS Yuasa also reported their 9 month net income up to the end of the last quarter, which dropped marginally from 5.73 billion yen for the same period last year to 5.52 billion yen this year, around US$60 million. Revenues were 196 billion yen, a 4.6 percent reduction on last year.

Kirayaka International allegedly believe that the Japanese and US investigations into the 787's problems are focused on the battery units, with a battery fire being reported on a Japan Airlines flight and heavy smoking of the batteries on an All Nippon Airways flight forcing an emergency landing.
