Stock market is much beyond buying and selling

Mumbai, 5 March 2013: Indian Merchants' Chamber has organised a seminar on 'Trading with Derivative Strategies' at IMC. Mr. Siddharth Bhamre, Head - Derivatives, Angel Broking explained the basic concepts of derivatives.

Mumbai, India (prHWY.com) March 5, 2013 - Mumbai, 5 March 2013: Indian Merchants' Chamber has organised a seminar on 'Trading with Derivative Strategies' at IMC. Mr. Siddharth Bhamre, Head - Derivatives, Angel Broking explained the basic concepts of derivatives.
"Derivative is product whose value derived from the value of one or more underlying variables or assets in the contractual manner," explained Mr. Bhamre. He also explained the concepts and advantages of futures and options. "Stock market is much beyond than buying and selling of shares. There are a lot of strategies one can apply and make money," concluded Mr. Bhamre.

Mr. Ashish Maheshwari, Head - Derivatives, Antique Stock Broking detailed the opportunities in the 12,000 trillion dollar derivative market across the world and where India as a market stand. "The way to make money in the derivative market is to get the view right," explained Mr. Maheshwari.

"Unless one is not having enough time to study the stocks before investing, never get into derivative trading," warned Mr. Maheshwari. He also explained the types of derivatives and simple ways to earn money without investing much in trading.

Earlier, Mr. Nipun Mehta, Member, Capital Markets Committee, IMC explained the theme and introduced the speakers. "Derivatives have come a long way since last decade in the capital market and we need to learn a lot to be a part of this segment," said Mr. Mehta.
