China Adopts Registration of Trademark for New Sectors

The Chinese government has adopted the Tenth Edition (Version 2013) of the International Classification of Goods and Services ("Nice Classification")

Sunnyvale, CA (prHWY.com) March 4, 2013 - Registration of trademarks for retail and wholesale services related to pharmaceutical, veterinary and sanitary products is allowed, with effect from 1st January 2013. Post promulgation of the PRC Trademark Law in 1983, this is the first time that China has opened up specific types of retail and wholesale services for trademark registration.
