Puglia Hotels Are Most Booked In Italy
Puglia hotels were the most booked in Italy in 2012, lists from several travel outlets show. The region, and the city of Manfredonia in particular, led the rankings for preferred Italian tourist destinations on several tourism-related websites.

Isola Di Capo Risotto, in Crotone, took second place, with a 356% increase, whilst Gargnano, in Lake Garda, did well as the sole Northern representative, snatching third place with 315%.
Other cities on the ranking included Pisticci, Basilicata (third place ex aequo), one more location in Calabria, Parghella and two in Tuscany (San Quirrico d'Orcia and Massa Carrara). On the island ranking, Alghero took the lead with a growth of 288%, closely followed by its Sardinian companion Castiadas (284%) and Custonaci, in Trapani, with 280%.
