Dubai, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) February 20, 2013 - Under the patronage of HH Sheikha Arwa Al Qassimi (member of royal family of Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah) , the Food for Change (FfC) was a fundraising event organized by Bangalore Cares and it was a grand success since a sum of Rs 37 lakhs were donated from many residing in different parts of the world.

"The world needs more and more of such fund raisers. This remains one of those handful methods to help the needy. Not just this, it also ensures that the fund raised is utilized for the purpose of welfare and not to look after the personal interest of a few." said a spokesperson, member of Food For Change campaign.

The event presented a golden opportunity to people to express their love and care for the unfortunate in the society through the noble act of giving. This was a function that revealed the true meaning of selfless minds whose social appetite was highly triggered during this event.

A hundred percent of all donations were channeled to the organization of the donor's choice. All the funds that were raised were given to NGOs to fund their programs which were geared towards educating children, providing shelter to the elderly, subsidizing medical costs for poor patients, rehabilitating mentally ill homeless women and reaching out to more underprivileged people.
