Esher, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) February 19, 2013 - Daily Health develops the iRecord Weight app that effectively tracks weight and monitors body metrics.

Developed in conjunction with Daily Health Bulletin based on research that indicates that actively monitoring body and weight metric over time makes a big difference in results, the iRecord Weight app has been developed by the company Daily Health. Weight trackers have been proven through clinical studies to improve the chances of losing weight and keeping it off and this weight tracker app has been designed to track body weight and monitor body metrics effectively.

According to the International Journal of Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity, frequent self-weighing seems to be a good predictor of moderate weight loss, less weight regain, or the avoidance of initial weight gain in adults. Examining the relationship between self-diet monitoring and body weight in adults, The USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) concluded there was strong evidence which shows that for adults who need or desire to lose weight, or who are maintaining body weight following weight loss, self-monitoring of food intake improves outcomes.

The iRecord Weight app provides a number of features including simple data entry, scrollable and zoomable charts, data for 10 Body metrics, Units Ft/in/cm and St/lb/kg. The ability to add historic records, delete and amend all records as well as track weight and body metric goals, import/export to excel (csv) functionality, statistics and history, and a BMI calculator are also included. The iRecord Weight app than does more than merely record weight makes weight management and body measurement extremely easy. Daily self-monitoring of body weight, step count, fruit/vegetable intake, and water consumption is a feasible and effective long-term weight loss maintenance approach per a study conducted by Department of Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise, Virginia Tech. A service of The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), PubMed published the results.
