Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) February 18, 2013 - Tunbridge Wells, Kent (January 17, 2013) - The Freight Transport Association is offering Driver CPC or Certificate of Professional Competence training for vocational drivers to promote road safety. The FTA is dedicated to supporting secure, sustainable and competent logistics.

Professional drivers set the world in motion. Without them, commodities will not be distributed and people without cars will have a hard time getting supplies for their daily lives. Proper care must be employed to ensure that goods reach their destination.

The European Parliament and Council initiated required training for vocational drivers for the benefit of road safety and fuel efficiency. The driver CPC qualification is required on top of the relevant vocational license. The level 2 operational qualification covers related subjects under the operator licensing rules, as well as customer care.

The organisation offers in-house courses that enable them to train many drivers on any given day. Presentations and other support material will also be provided for client use. Driver CPC training needs to be undertaken by 10 September 2014 for goods vehicles and by 10 Sept 2013 for passenger vehicles. Courses for driver CPC start from £60.00 plus VAT.

The FTA also offers a range of industry leading services, which are available to support the compliance of a vehicle operator, from its highly regarded vehicle inspection services, to tacho services, such as auditing tacho's either at your premises or at our bureau, plus tacho reporting and analytics, through to an exclusive insurance service which provides FTA members with a method of controlling insurance costs and which is proven to reduce the amount of accidents an operator has. This service provides competitive prices and the option of a premium instalment facility.
