Noida, India (prHWY.com) February 13, 2013 - In the previous two articles on preparation for general knowledge (GK) for the ensuing CMAT examination, we discussed about GK related to business, finance & economics ( http://www.mbauniverse.com/article.php?id=6681 ) and GK questions based on India general ( http://www.mbauniverse.com/article/id/6684/ ). Twenty-five GK questions in CMAT have an important role to play - section wise as well as being a tool to improve your overall score. In this article, we will discuss international GK.

Important preparation tips

1. Answers to questions based on international affairs sometimes are difficult to distinguish due to the close similarity in names, cities, figures etc. So the important part is to find out some key word in the articles wherefrom you learn and prepare the GK.
2 . MCQs are confusing at times and the closeness to answers might leave you flummoxed - if you wish to master it, make some abbreviations to the part that you wish to learn.

3 . Read full article as the question can be asked in any form. If there is something on Myanmar, read all the details because it is not necessary that the CMAT will ask only the thing that you have learnt in a particular article.

4 . Draw a quick plan to revise and learn international GK of conventional nature like offices of the UNO, its wings, various affiliated organizations, geographical and historical facts, etc. Put more emphasis on the events of the last decade and global happenings like depression, mutiny in certain countries, economic swings that made impact on the Indian economy, etc. Although there is no syllabus for GK, you must brush up whatever you have read.

5 . Your trusted mentor may assist you in drawing a quick and systematic moral boosting process which will enhance your learning capabilities.

6 . Please regularly read the newspapers like The Hindu, The Times of India, The Economic Times and periodicals like Time, The week, India Today, and The Economist. Mark striking events, read editorials and other articles analyzing various important international events.

7 . Since examination paper must have been prepared, at least a month back before the examination date, you may eliminate such events that took place in the meantime
