London, UK, July 15 2010 - Super tradesmen Sandman Beds (www.sandmanbeds.com) is looking to fill a gap in the furniture market with their wonderful new range of bespoke beds for children. Sandman has been creating children's beds since 2001, when the two founding partners and parents realised that there was nothing on the market to inspire sweet dreams in their first daughter.

Despairing of ever finding something suitable - magical, as they say, and sturdy - the pair decided to make their own bed: and so, the first Sandman bed, the "flower bed" was born. 10 years on, the company is installed in a converted barn workshop somewhere in the country, and is turning out lovingly built handmade bed designs for children all over the UK.

The philosophy, the pair says, is simple. Beds for children should perform two functions: one, to put up with the stresses and strains common to items of furniture that routinely get jumped on by little ones; and two, to inspire sweet dreams with beautiful designs. Looking at their new range, one realises Sandman has gone further even than their mission statement implies. The new Sandman beds combine classic children's colours and designs (bright blues and pinks, flowers, nautical themes, cowboys, princesses... let your child name it and you'll discover Sandman has already done it. They don't stop there, though. Sandman's new range of beds for children is starting to incorporate all sorts of clever design elements: under-bed trundles that can be used either as extra toy storage or even as a guest bed for sleep-overs; even a day bed that is used as a fairytale sofa by day and a sweet dreamy castle at night!
