Nook App for Windows 8 Gets Support for Microsoft Account Sign-In

Barnes & Noble, Inc. updated its Nook® Reader app for Windows 8 and RT versions with a new functionality. The app, currently in version 1.2, now supports a single Microsoft account sign-in to read and shop from a Nook account.

Barnes & Noble, Inc. updated its Nook® Reader app for Windows 8 and RT versions with a new functionality. The app, currently in version 1.2, now supports a single Microsoft account sign-in to read and shop from a Nook account. In other words, Nook® readers can login to their Nook® Reader app accounts using their Microsoft account IDs and interlink both the accounts (Nook® Reader app and Microsoft accounts) to access their regular, saved, and previously purchased stuff without needing to provide separate credentials. This also essentially means new Nook® readers need not create a new Nook® account and can sign up/in using their Microsoft IDs to begin reading and buying their favorite digital books, daily news, and lots more.
