Give Your Immune System a Boost with Kefir Grains
Kefir, the healthiest probiotic beverage, is proven to boost your immune system and help you lead a healthy way of life.

A lot of people highly depend on expensive medicines when they are sick. But what they don't know is they can get the same results with natural foodstuff, which is usually cheaper than these medicines. According to website owner and author, Giselle Parker, "A lot of foods have the same building blocks or functional properties as that of medicine." What's more, "they do more than one function as compared to medicine."
"Diet is the key to staying healthy and even fighting sicknesses" says Parker. Probiotic foods such as kefir are one of the natural food sources that help boost the immune system and totally eliminate the need for expensive medicine.
"Immunity starts in the gut, and there's always a war between the good, friendly bacteria and the bad bacteria," says Patti Milligan, a registered dietician. Eating friendly bacteria such as kefir, yogurt, and other fermented foods will help fight the bad bacteria.
According to Parker, kefir is the healthiest probiotic beverage. They contain kefir grains which are composed of a complex structure of bacteria and yeasts with proteins, lipids, and sugars. "Inside kefir grains are countless beneficial bacteria that are good for the body," says Parker. When consumed, kefir grains will reside inside the intestines. While they are there, they would continue to help in digestion and fight harmful bacteria. It has also been proven to cure constipation and ulcer.
A lot of people who are lactose intolerant would be reluctant drinking kefir, but according to Parker, they should not worry about it. In fact, a lot of studies and testimonials prove that people who are lactose intolerant are much better off drinking kefir. "Enzymes in both kefir and yogurt make it easy for people to digest it compared to other products," she explains.
Making kefir is very easy. All you need to do is put the kefir grains in fresh milk and let it ferment for half a day up to 2 days.
The good thing about kefir grains is that they stay alive indefinitely. "It's actually hard to stop them from reproducing and growing," says Parker. "After fermenting your first batch, just remove the kefir grains and move them to a new batch of milk to make a new one."
Kefir has been part of Giselle's diet ever since she discovered it two years ago. It has cured her ulcers and helped her friend get rid of her allergies. "It has rid me of many unwanted health issues and changed my lifestyle for the better. I just love kefir and I hope you will too."
