Berlin, Germany (prHWY.com) February 1, 2013 - Every year, Berlin celebrates its International Film Festival in February, called "Berlinale"; it is a must-go for film aficionados and one of the most exciting events in Germany. During 63th International Film Festival, Berlin is the centre of the film world. Chinese film director Wong Kar-wai has been announced as the President of the Jury and his film "The Grandmaster" has been announced as the opening film of the festival.

Around 400 movies are shown, many of them world or European premiers. In addition, the festival hosts a large number of special events, panel discussions, exhibitions, and of course, many star-studded parties. The Berlinale aims to show its admiration of Indigenous cinematic heritage and display its relevance beyond tribe and nation.

Tickets are available to everybody as the Berlinale is the largest public film festival in the world. In this Festival, German film director Rosa von Praunheim are to be awarded with the Berlinale Camera and filmmaker Claude Lanzmann is to be awarded with the Honorary Golden Bear.

Tickets purchase at the ticket counter and box offices have to be paid in cash. Students pay half price (only at box-office).
