Free Teleseminar Offers Psychological Perspective on The Lance Armstrong Saga
This complimentary two-part teleseminar series entitled When the Fairytale Ends: Lies, LANCE, and Life Patterns with Jungian Analyst Michael Conforti offers a psychological perspective on the patterns in play in the Lance Armstrong saga

Is the saga of Lance Armstrong yet another story in our cultural and psychological tendency to glorify and inflate and then take great pleasure in seeing the demise of our ill-fated "heroes"? In part, Armstrong's story speaks to our illusions and mistaken ideas about the nature of the hero archetype--that is, the universal blueprint that illustrates what we consider a hero to be. Unfortunately, many of these individuals we deem "heroes"-- athletes, movie stars, members of the nobility among them--often have further to fall.
In our contemporary culture, have we as individuals and as a collective lost sight of the essential characteristics of the hero? Are our current political and religious leaders worthy of the respect and admiration given to genuine heroes? Now with the fall of Lance Armstrong, we are yet again, left with vital questions in understanding the psychological and cultural impact of the patterns in play in this ongoing saga.
