indore, India (prHWY.com) January 30, 2013 - Jeera declines 0.2% on higher output concerns.
Jeera futures for April drifted by Rs 30, or 0.22%, per quintal in 5,364 lots. At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the March contract lost Rs 27.50, or 0.21%, per quintal in 11,928 lots. Traders reducing their positions on expectations of higher output affected the trade Besides, subdued demand in spot markets and producing regions also weighed on the prices.
Turmeric prices my trade lower on selling pressure.
Turmeric prices are expected to trade on lower note on continued selling pressure in spot markets. Lack of fresh orders from north India is resulting in sluggish demand from exporters and bulk buyers which might weigh down on turmeric prices. However, news of erode farmers alleging for minimum support price of Rs. 9000 per quintal for fresh crop might create volatility in prices in near term. .
