Dr. Jawed Ehsan Announces Free Healthcare Screenings

As part of his continued community service efforts, Dr. Jawed Ehsan is proud to announce free health screenings for senior citizens.

Schaumburg, IL (prHWY.com) January 26, 2013 - Dr. Jawed Ehsan is proud to announce that he will be performing free healthcare screening for the senior citizens in Chicago Housing Authority as well as private senior citizen buildings. Dr. Jawed Ehsan will be performing the screenings as part of his effort to give back to the community. "Chicago has given so much to me and our senior citizens have given so much to Chicago. It's out collective responsibility to say thanks and give back," says Dr. Jawed Ehsan. Though he has many responsibilities as an attending physician at the St. Alexis Medical Center, Dr. Jawed Ehsan's drive to help others gives him the energy needed to perform service even away from work. "For me, helping others through medicine is a lifestyle, not a career," says Dr. Jawed Ehsan.

These free health screenings for Chicago's senior citizens are not the first time that Dr. Jawed Ehsan has given back to the community. During the July 1999 heat wave, Dr. Jawed Ehsan played a crucial role in saving at least 18 lives. He has also been recognized by the city numerous times and has even been featured on the major television networks while receiving the Professional Excellence Award from Commissioner Marie E. Billingsly. However, Dr. Jawed Ehsan doesn't perform community service for the recognition he receives. It comes from a place of genuine concern that patients can feel.

Aside from the free screenings, Dr. Jawed Ehsan will host healthcare education seminars and lectures for seniors teaching them how to stay healthy and enjoy a higher quality of life. Many of the negative effects of aging, for instance, can be slowed or reversed with a proper diet. Dr. Jawed Ehsan will also teach the senior citizens about common illnesses and warning signs to look out for. Fortunately, Dr. Jawed Ehsan's past screenings in the community have detected early cases of colon cancer, breast cancer, and hermatologic malignancy. By catching these cases early, the chances for successful treatment skyrocket exponentially.

At the age of 50, Dr. Jawed Ehsan has enjoyed many years of community service. He hopes that he can continue helping others and that others will give back just as he's given back.
