Hempel, one of the world's largest, independent suppliers of decorative, marine and protective coatings, has revealed that it is strengthening its exclusive range of paint offerings for the UAE market, particularly within the decorative and protective segments, which account for up to 85 per cent of the total paint sales in the country, according to a study by PKF research. Hempel further announced the inauguration of a new outlet in Dubai as part of the company's aggressive regional expansion plans, particularly in high-growth markets such as the UAE.

The opening of Sadafat Trading, the authorized Hempel dealer located in Hor Al Anz, regarded as the hardware hub of Dubai, takes advantage of the sustained growth pace of the UAE market, which is powered by revitalized real estate and infrastructure development initiatives, increased oil and gas activity, as well as consistently strong demands from the manufacturing, hospitality and marine sectors. The Sadafat Trading outlet is fully equipped with Hempel's state-of-the-art tinting machine equipped with a portable spectrophotometer and trained staff to provide professional advice on colour finishes and special interior effects for coating and painting requirements. It can also deliver material to client locations across Dubai.

Laurence Brown, Hempel UAE Country Manager, said: "The UAE has been a key growth market for Hempel and we are therefore fully committed to further expanding our presence here. Leveraging on the company's well-established R&D infrastructure, Hempel has focused strongly on developing specialized coatings that cater to specific demands of the local market, giving us a competitive edge. The opening of the Sadafat Trading outlet, which is strategically located in the hardware hub of Dubai in Hor Al Anz, therefore brings us closer to our customers and reinforces our ability to reach out to our clients. Hempel has likewise invested in providing extensive training to all staff of the new Sadafat Trading outlet, so customers can benefit from professional advice for any coating and painting requirement. Building on our long-term expansion strategy, we are confident that Hempel remains strongly positioned to take advantage of the robust growth outlook of the UAE's paint industry."

Hempel, which holds a distinguished market share in the GCC, takes advantage of its extensive network of manufacturing units and sales offices to supply a wide range of paint solutions for various projects in the oil & gas and shipping sectors, as well as decorative paints for villas, apartments, hotels, hospitals, and infrastructure projects. Hempel was founded in 1915 and is approaching 100 years of being a leading global supplier of decorative, marine and protective coatings. The company has been operating in the Middle East for more than 30 years.
