Beaverton, OR (prHWY.com) January 11, 2013 - Madrid - The national court of Spain approved a conditional bail for the former HSBC employee who was wanted by the Swiss security officials. He was accused of stealing classified data related to thousands of account holders.
Mr. Herve Falacini, a citizen of France and Italy was arrested back in July in the city of Barcelona after an international warrant issued by the Swiss authorities for violating its banking secrecy laws.
National court of France decided to release Mr. Herve Falacini due to the fact that he had already spent a considerable time in jail, and it could be numerous months before the Spanish court could decide whether to extradite him back to Switzerland. His conditional release states that the he report to the Spanish police every three days, what's more is that his passport has been seized by the Spanish police to prevent his escape before the ruling.
Falacini's accusations state that he had stole banking data going back five years, and the fact that he stole that data from HSBC's private banking subsidiary in Geneva, while working in their IT department.

According to senior data security analyst Ian Murphy of new software's, a Beaverton, Oregon based information security enterprise, this incidence comes at a no surprise, as employee data theft today is a rising phenomenon and a harsh reality at present.
To curb this upward trend, the general public and organizations should utilize data security software such as Folder Lock to protect sensitive data. Newsoftwares, the developer of Folder Lock released the latest update: 7.1.8, which resolved compatibility issues, related with windows 8 OS and have simplified the user interface making it easy for the average person to protect their files and folders.
According to Murphy, such incidents are only bound to rise, as technology becomes more of an integral function of organizations. 50 years back, organizations didn't even have computers at banks, now banks across the developed and underdeveloped nations need an IT department. Thus, information naturally becomes valuable since key information can easily be transformed in monetary value.
