Kuhn Associates Releases A Brief On A California Law Mandating Disclosure Of Corporate Efforts To Eradicate Human Trafficking

New York, NY (prHWY.com) January 8, 2013 - New York, NY, United States, January 08, 2013 -- Kuhn Associates Sustainability Advisors, LLC, one of the country's premier sustainability consultancies, has released an Information Brief discussing the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010, a law mandating disclosure of corporate efforts to identify and eradicate human trafficking and slavery in product supply chains. Although the law went into effect on January 1, 2012, many companies covered by the law are still determining how to meet its requirements.

The Information Brief contains an Executive Summary, an analysis of each Section of the law and suggestions for complying with the law. Readers of the Information Brief will understand the law's requirements for covered companies to disclose:

*efforts to verify human trafficking and slavery risks in the company's supply chain
*their use of supplier audits to ensure compliance with corporate anti-slavery and anti-trafficking policies

*the company's training protocol on these issues for those involved in its supply chain management.
