Piccadilly, United Kingdom (prHWY.com) January 5, 2013 - Tier-1 General Visa Extension
The Tier 1 General Visa has now been abolished. The UK government has stopped taking any further applications for this visa, however if you are already on a Tier 1 General Visa you may apply for an extension of your visa as long as you continue to meet the eligibility requirements of your original application or switch to Indefinite Leave to Remain once you have completed 5 years on your existing visa.

Alternatively, applicants who previously qualified for a Tier 1 General Visa can now apply under Tier 2 of the points-based system. A Tier 2 visa is granted to someone who has a job offer or a sponsor in the UK. Your sponsor must have a Tier 2 sponsorship license to be eligible to sponsor you. Visit the links on the left for more information about Tier 2 alternatives.

To apply for an extension you would need to meet the points criteria based on your age, qualification, income and maintenance similar to the initial application you made.
We are be able to assist you with the UK Visa extension via a postal application route or a same day premium service. Would you like to know if you qualify for your Tier 1 Visa extension? Use our FREE assessment tool to check if you do.
