From Toronto to Buffalo - small is beautiful

We all have been impressed by great big things that overwhelm us with their size.

So when you visit a large city you are amazed at the large number of people that live there and the huge number of everything such as cars and houses that stretch before your eyes for miles. But after a while one may lose the thrill of being in a big city and in fact start to miss out on the conveniences offered by a smaller place. For example everything is close at hand in a small place. And the amount of time taken to go from one place to another is not much at all whereas in a large city it could take hours. You can also expect the cost of living in a large city to be higher than in a small town.

Now one may not stop to think about it but the story is similar when it comes to airports. Large airports leave you with a lot of signs to figure out and possibly long distances to walk within the airport. Small airports on the other hand are easy to figure out and whether you are arriving or departing everything happens quickly. You will also find that usually flights to a large airport are more expensive than flights to a small one. Of course one usually does not have a choice of airports while visiting another place but in case you do, you should check out flights to the smaller airport which can be easily overlooked.

For example if you are visiting the Niagara Falls region or the area around the city of Toronto then you can choose to fly in through the Buffalo airport or the Toronto airport. But chances are you may check out flights only to Toronto airport which is a large international airport. But flights to Buffalo airport are cheaper and you can easily travel from Buffalo to your destination in a limo. And when your work is done you can travel from Toronto area to Buffalo airport back and catch your return flight.
